Automobile (Ontario)
Automobile insurance is a mandatory in Ontario. Anyone who is licensed and owns a
car must buy at least the minimum liability and accident benefit coverage.
Your automobile may not have coverage for every injury or there may be limitations.
Find out how to eliminate that gap with term insurance, critical illness or life insurance.
Your vehicle must carry a minimum amount of liability coverage. This is to ensure there is a minimum amount of money available if someone makes a successful claim against you. However, if the claim is for more than the coverage that you have, you will be responsible to pay the difference. That's why many drivers choose the security of liability coverage that is more than the minimum coverage required by the Provincial law.
Did you know when you are in an automobile accident, your accident benefits will only be available after any primary coverage that you may have pays your expenses.
